Besan ka sheera is a comforting, warm dish often consumed to relieve coughs and colds during winters. It's comforting, soup-like consistency and soothing taste make it an instant favourite.
2 tbsp besan (gram flour) 1 cup milk 1 tbsp ghee 1 tbsp sugar or jaggery A pinch of cardamom powder A pinch of turmeric (optional)
Heat ghee in a pan and add besan. Roast the besan on low heat until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma.
Gradually add milk, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
Add sugar/jaggery and cardamom, and cook until the sheera thickens slightly.Serve warm for a deliciously comforting treat.
