One of the rainy-day delights that you can make at home is besan ka halwa. Topped with dry fruits, this nutritious delight will feed your sugar cravings and leave you satisfied. Here is a quick recipe.
2 tbsp rava ½ cup ghee ⅕ cups besan ¼ tsp cardamom powder ½ cup sugar 2 cups milk 2 tbsp saffron milk ⅓ cup chopped dry fruits
Take a large heavy bottom pan and roast besan and rava in it for the toasted flavour.
Once the besan releases an aroma and turns brown in 25-30 minutes on a low flame, add milk.
Keep stirring continuously until you have a smooth concoction. This will also prevent lumps and milk from sticking to the surface.
As the halwa starts to separate from the kadhai, add saffron milk and sugar.
Stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves. Garnish with cardamom powder and dried fruits.
Serve and enjoy. You can also store it in the refrigerator and enjoy it for a week.
