Combine the superfood properties of ghee and goji berries to make deliciously soft besan laddoos that you can eat after lunch or as a mid-evening snack.

4 cups gram flour 1 cup powdered sugar 1.5 cups ghee ¼ cup chopped almonds 1 tablespoon cardamom powder ¼ cup goji berries 3 tablespoons cold milk 1 pinch salt

Add two tablespoons of ghee to a skillet and toast the gram flour until slightly aromatic.

Continue to add in the ghee gradually and mix well to combine.

Add in the almonds, berries and cardamom powder, followed by the milk.

Once the mixture seized in the pan, turn off the flame and add in the sugar.

Transfer the mixture on to a greased plate and press down with the base of a wide cup.

Cool for 10 minutes and start shaping into laddoos when still warm to touch.

Store in an air-tight container once cooled completely.
