1 medium banana flower, chopped and boiled (1 1/4 cup) 2 medium-boiled potatoes, mashed (1/2 cup) 3 tbsp thinly chopped coconut Handful of roasted peanuts 2 tbsp soaked raisins 2 tsp ginger paste Chopped green chilli to taste 1/2 tsp cumin powder/paste
1 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera), fennel seeds (mouri) 1 tsp coriander seeds (dhone) 2 pc cardamom (elach) 1/2 tsp sugar Salt to taste Turmeric to taste 2 tbsp cornflour 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Oil for cooking and deep frying
Boil the chopped banana flower with salt and turmeric until soft, then drain and lightly mash.
Peel and mash the boiled potatoes with salt, ensuring a smooth mixture.
Fry chopped coconut pieces until golden and set aside. Heat oil, fry chopped chilli and cumin, add ginger paste, and cook until oil separates.
Mix in boiled banana flower, fried coconut, raisins, sugar, and mashed potatoes; cook briefly.
Form the mixture into croquettes, dip in cornflour batter, and coat evenly with breadcrumbs.
Fry the croquettes in hot oil until golden and crisp, then serve immediately.
