Kalojeera bhorta is a Bengali dish, a flavorful mash made with black cumin seeds (kalojeera), green chilies, garlic, and salt. It offers a spicy, aromatic blend of ingredients, often enjoyed with rice or flatbreads.

½ cup Kalojire, Nigella seeds 2 Dried red chilli 1 medium Onion 6-7 Garlic cloves Salt as per taste Fresh coriander(optional) 3-4 tbsp Mustard oil

Lightly toast the nigella seeds. Fry some dried red chilli, onion, garlic, green chilli with little salt in mustard oil.

Next use mortar and pestle to crush the dried red chilli and the seeds. Now add the rest of fried items, grind. The mash will be a little grainy like coarse and not a very fine one.

Lastly adjust salt and drizzle some mustard oil on top to enjoy with hot steamed rice.
