Mishti doi is a popular Bengali sweet dish that is cherished during the festive season. Whether you are looking to add something new to the Iftar spread or Holi feast, this milk and curd-based dessert is perfect. Check out the recipe.
2 tbsp sugar 3 cups milk 2 tsp curd 2 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp chopped dry fruits 1 tsp water
Heat milk in a thick-bottom pan with sugar in it.
Stir in between and wait for the concoction to thicken.
In another pan mix brown sugar and water and cook until the blend caramelises.
Transfer the caramelised sugar to the milk and bring it to a boil again.
Turn off the flame and let the milk cool off. Pour it into a clay pot.
Add curd and let it sit for 8 hours. Garnish with dry fruits and enjoy.
