Craving a snack? How about delicious Murmura Jhalmuri? Not only this snack is healthy, but also easy to prepare. With readymade ingredients and some vegetables, you can create Kolkata street-style jhalmuri at home instantly. Check out this amazing recipe:
2½ cups puffed rice (murmura) 1 large potato boiled 1 small onion, finely chopped 1 medium tomato, finely chopped ¼ cup cucumber, finely chopped 2 green chillies chopped 3 tbsp coriander leaves Salt to taste 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder ¼ teaspoon chaat masala or amchur ¼ cup roasted peanuts skinned ¼ cup chana jor garam or sev or any farsaan of choice lemon juice as needed 1 tablespoon oil
Roast murmura to make them crispy.
In a bowl, mix tomatoes, cucumber, onion, green chilli, mashed potatoes and coriander leaves.
Season with salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder and chaat masala. Add a squeeze of lemon and stir well.
Add roasted peanuts and murmura to the mix.
Toss them all together to combine the flavours. Adjust the amount of murmura as per desired moistness.
Add farsan, sev, or chana jor garam. Serve immediately and enjoy.
