Moong Dal Laddu is a classic sweet made from roasted moong dal, ghee, sugar, and cardamom. This protein-rich treat is perfect for festive occasions and as a nutritious snack.
1 cup moong dal ¼ cup ghee ½ cup sugar (Jaggery can be a healthy alternative) 3 cardamom pods 2 tbsp chopped cashews 2 tbsp chopped almonds 7 pistachios
Dry roast 1 cup moong dal on low flame until golden.
Cool the roasted moong dal completely and blend it into a fine powder.
Transfer the moong dal powder into a kadai.
Add ¼ cup ghee and roast on low flame and continue roasting for 10 minutes
Blend ½ cup sugar and 3 cardamom pods to make powdered sugar.
Mix the powdered sugar with the roasted moong dal mixture.
Crumble the mixture well to make a moist flour and shape it into ball-sized laddus.
Garnish each laddu with pistachio and store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
