In the recent episode of Celebrity MasterChef, Ranveer Brar introduced people to beetroot pachadi, and the internet has gone crazy after it. While he mentioned South Indians have been enjoying it for years, here is a quick recipe for you to try.
1.5 cups curd 1 beetroot Salt to taste 1 tsp coconut oil 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 cup grated coconut 2 green chillies 2 tbsp coconut oil 1 tsp mustard seeds, urad dal 2 red chillies 7-8 curry leaves
Peel and grate the beetroot. Keep it aside.
Blend coconut, cumin seeds, and green chillies.
Heat oil in a pan and saute beetroot with salt.
Pour coconut blend into the pan, saute for 3-4 minutes, and turn off the flame.
Prepare the tempering of coconut oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, and urad dal.
Pour the tempering over the beetroot-coconut blend and beetroot pachadi is ready.
