Khichadi might sound boring to people who have it every Saturday. But you can give a new twist to it by adding beetroot. Make this delicious beetroot Kichadi recipe in your house to amp up your cooking game!
1 cup rice 1/2 cup moong dal 1 large beetroot 1 onion 2 cloves garlic 1 inch ginger 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder Salt to taste 3 cups water
Add cumin seeds, onion, garlic, and ginger, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and turmeric powder in oil. Cook for a few seconds.
Add the cubed beetroot and other veggies to the pan.
Add the washed rice and moong dal to the pan. Mix well, add water, and cook until ready. Serve hot.
