While we are all for Gajar Ka Halwa supremacy, a pretty pink Halwa has gotten us hooked. Here’s how to make beetroot halwa at home.
500 gram Beetroot 1 litre Full fat milk 1/2 cup Ghee 1 cup Sugar 1 cup Khoya 2 teaspoon Cardamom powder 10-12 Cashew nuts
Take a pan and heat milk. Once the milk is boiled add grated beetroot and cook until all the milk is absorbed well.
Then add ghee and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add sugar, khoya and cook for another 10 minutes on medium heat. Keep stirring in between.
Then add cardamom powder, cashew nuts and almonds. Mix well, garnish with almond slivers and silver varq
