Halwa is a traditional Indian dessert that can be made with many different ingredients. Beetroot halwa is a flavourful variant of halwa that’s made by grating nutritious beetroot. To make it at home, follow these easy steps.
300 grams beetroot 2 tablespoons ghee 1.5 cups milk ½ cup sugar 10-12 cashews nuts ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
Rinse the beetroot and finely grate it.
Heat some ghee, fry some cashew nuts, and set them aside.
Cook the grated beetroot for about five minutes, then add milk and let it simmer.
After the mixture thickens, add sugar and cardamom powder and let it cook till the sugar dissolves.
Once you get a thick halwa, garnish with roasted cashew nuts and serve.
