Beetroot halwa is a delightful and nutritious dessert, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. Made with grated beetroot, milk, ghee, and a touch of cardamom, it's a treat for all occasions.
2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter) 4 cups beetroot, grated 1 cup milk ¼ cup sugar 6 cashews (kaju), chopped ¼ tsp cardamom powder
Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a large kadai. Add 4 cups of grated beetroot and sauté for 2-4 minutes.
Pour in 1 cup of milk and stir well. Cover and boil for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cook until the water evaporates and the beetroot is tender.
Stir in ¼ cup of sugar and cook for 5 minutes until ghee separates. Mix in 6 chopped cashews and ¼ tsp of cardamom powder.
Enjoy your homemade beetroot halwa, garnished with more dry fruits and a sprinkle of khova!
