Made with grated beetroot, spices, and chickpea flour, they offer a healthier alternative to traditional pakodas.
1 beetroot, peeled and grated 1 cup chickpea flour (besan) 2 tbsp rice flour 1 onion, chopped 2-3 green chilies, chopped 1/2 tsp ginger paste 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp red chili powder Salt to taste Oil for deep frying Fresh coriander leaves
In a bowl, combine grated beetroot, chopped onion, green chilies, ginger paste, cumin seeds and turmeric powder.
Add red chili powder, and salt. Add chickpea flour and rice flour to the beetroot mixture.
Mix well and Gradually add a little water to form a thick batter. Turn on the air fryer.
Air Fry the pakodas in batches, until they turn golden brown and crispy. Garnish chopped coriander leaves. Serve with mint chutney.
