Beat The Heat With Refreshing Khus Khus Sharbat- A Cooling Summer Delight

Stay cool and hydrated this summer with Khus Khus Sharbat. Made with the delightful combination of poppy seeds, cardamom, and rose water in this refreshing beverage.

Ingredients

2 tbsp khus khus (poppy seeds) 4 cups water 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 tsp  cardamom powder 1 tbsp rose water Ice cubes Fresh mint leaves for garnishr

Step 1

In a bowl, add 1 cup water and soak the poppy seeds for about an hour.

Step 2

When they are moist transfer them in a blender. Blend until  it’s smooth.

Step 3

Take a pan and combine the 3 cups of water and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.

Step 4

Reduce the heat to low and add the khus khus paste to the saucepan. Stir well to combine.

Step 5

Let the mixture cool to room temperature. Strain the mixture and stir in cardamom powder & rose water.

Step 6

Refrigerate the Sharbat. Serve chilled garnished with mint leaves! Enjoy.
