Summer is here and so is the need to keep us dehydrated. It is important to consume water and liquids. Luckily, India has several summer drinks to keep us hydrated. From ganne ka juice to nimbu pani, it is important to quench your thirst with 10 Indian drinks.

Sol Kadhi

This Konkan drink is extremely popular in wester regions of India like Maharashtra and Goa. It can be made easily by mixing kokum extract and coconut milk with a pinch of salt and tempering with an assortment of whole spices.

Piyush

Originated from the coast of Maharashtra, this sweet summer drink is made using buttermilk, curds, shrikhand, and sugar. Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy. Chill in the refrigerator, 

Panagam

This South Indian drink is a combination of jiggery, lemon juice, dry ginger powder, pepper, and cardamom with a little bit of water.This drink is especially prepared during Ram Navmi.

Nannari

This drink hails from South Indian and is made by boiling Indian Sarsaparilla or Nannari roots with sugar, water, and lemon juice.Depending on the regional preference, it can be mixed with either milk or water.

Lassi

It is the most popular summer drink and can be made with just three ingredients curd, ice cubes, and sugar. Nowadays, you can flavour the lassi with seasonal fruits.

Kanji

It is the drink hailing from North India is traditionally made using carrots, mustard, and salt. Some variations also use beetroot

Chaas (Buttermilk)

It is a widely consumed drink all across India. Besides, the same drink has different variations in different region. 

Aam Panna

This Aam Panna is made using unripe green mangoes or Kairi. This provides ample hydration to beat the heat. 

Jal jeera

This is one of the most refreshing drinks made with cumin, tamarind, lemon, black salt, chaat masala, and other ingredients. 

Thandai

This milk drink is typically flavoured with rose petals, almonds, fennel seeds, poppy seeds, watermelon, cardamom, saffron, and sugar.
