Basket chaat is a delicious street food for which katori or bowls are prepared using maida. Therefore, you can eat the basket along with the ingredients stuffed in it. Here is your guide to making this interesting chaat at home in a few simple steps.
For Basket 250 grams maida 2 tbsp oil Salt to taste ½ cup water For Stuffing ⅓ cup boiled chana 1 tbsp chaat masala 4 boiled potatoes 2 tbsp coriander leaves 1 cup hung curd 1.5 tbsp green chutney ¾ tbsp tamarind chutney Chopped onions Chopped tomatoes Sev, pomegranate seeds
Start by combining ingredients for the basket and kneading them into a soft dough. Keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
Make small spheres, roll them, and spread them across the surface of an oil-greased bowl.
Deep-fry the basket until golden brown and crispy. Keep it aside to cool off.
On a plate, set 2-3 baskets and stuff them with boiled chana and potatoes.
You can also add crumbled papdi, green chutney, chopped green chillies, onions, tomatoes, curd, and chaat masala.
Top the chaat with sev, pomegranate seeds, and coriander leaves before serving.
