This spicy and crispy snack is made with raw bananas, gram flour and rice flour along with the flavouring of asafoetida. Here is an easy recipe to make banana bajji at home.

2 raw bananas (peeled and sliced) 1 cup gram flour 1 tbsp rice flour pinch of baking powder (optional) ⅛ tsp turmeric powder pinch of hing salt to taste water as required oil for deep frying

Take a bowl and add gram flour, chili powder, turmeric powder, rice flour, salt and water. Mix well.

Then dip the raw banana slices into the prepared batter. Coat them well on all the sides.

Deep fry them till crisp and golden brown. Drain in a tissue and serve with mint chutney or coconut chutney.
