Beer bread is a type of quick bread and a distinct one at that since most of the quick breads tend to be on the sweeter side; beer bread, however, stands tall as one of the few savoury ones in the same category. It is a delicious recipe that is easy to prepare at home.
3 cups of flour 3 tablespoons of sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 350 ml beer 1/4 cup melted butter
Preheat to 190 °C. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the beer and mix until just combined. Pour into a loaf pan. Drizzle melted butter on top.
Bake for 45–55 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy.
