½ cup bajra, soaked ½ cup green moong dal, soaked 3 cups water 1 tbsp ghee 1 tsp cumin seeds ¼ tsp asafoetida ½ tsp ginger paste 2 green chillies, chopped ½ cup peas ½ cup carrots, chopped Salt, to taste 1 tsp turmeric powder Coriander leaves, for garnish

Place the bajra and moong dal in a pressure cook with salt and turmeric, then cook for 3-4 whistles.

Heat ghee in a large wok, then add cumin seeds. Asafoetida, ginger paste and green chillies.
Once these stop spluttering, add the peas and carrots. Stir fry with a bit of salt and turmeric until cooked.
Now, pour in the bajra and moong dal mix, adjust salt and water, and cook for another 5-10 minutes.
Garnish the Bajra Moong Dal Khichdi with coriander leaves and serve while hot.
