Also known as wood apple, bael comes with a host of health benefits besides being full of nutrients like calcium, vitamins, protein, phosphorous, iron and fibre.
1 (large) Bael Fruit (wood apple) 3 tbsp sugar Few mint leaves Few ice Cubes Pinch Salt
Using a rolling pin break the bael and scoop out the pulp with a spoon.
Mash the pulp and remove the seeds with your hands.
Now add chilled water and mash it again gently. Add it into a strainer and press it using a wooden spoon against a sieve.
Extract as much pulp through it leaving behind the large fibers. Stir and serve chilled with a tiny pinch of salt (optional).
