Coconut dosa is a light, fluffy, and delicious South Indian dish. This easy-to-follow recipe ensures you can make perfect coconut dosas at home, ideal for breakfast or a snack.
2 cups of raw rice 1 tsp. methi 1 cup grated coconut 1 cup of thin poha Water (for grinding) 1 tsp. salt
Combine 2 cups raw rice and 1 teaspoon methi in a large bowl. Soak the rice mixture in enough water for 4 hours.
Transfer the soaked rice to a mixer and blend to a smooth paste. Pour in the rice batter.
In the mixer, blend 1 cup grated coconut with 1 cup water to a smooth paste. Add the coconut paste to the rice batter and mix well.
Cover the bowl and let the batter ferment in a warm place for 8 hours. When the batter is frothy, add 1 teaspoon salt and mix gently.
Heat a tawa and pour a ladleful of batter onto it. Cover and cook on a low flame.
Serve the coconut dosa hot with coconut chutney.
