Apricot jam is a mouthwatering sweet treat that can be enjoyed on its own or as a bread spread. This versatile delicacy also blends flawlessly with other desserts, including cakes and brownies, enhancing their overall taste profile. Here’s a simple apricot jam recipe to satisfy your sugar cravings.
1 cup cane sugar 2 tablespoons of lemon juice 8 cups chopped apricots, with pits removed
In a pot on medium heat, combine the apricots with lemon juice and sugar.
Let the mixture simmer for approximately 20 minutes, or till the fruit begins disintegrating and becomes dense and shiny.
Gently transfer the hot apricot concoction into a bowl or a container to let it cool completely; after 30 minutes, refrigerate the concoction to speed up the chilling process.
With a ladle or a spoon, insert the jam into sturdy mason jars for storage purposes. Place the jars in the refrigerator and serve or savour the jam, as needed.
