Want to try something sweet and comforting in winter but don't want to put much effort into it? Prepare this homemade apple jam, which can last you all winter and is super easy to make.
1 kg apples 1 cup sugar 1/2 lemon, juiced 1 tsp cinnamon powder 1/4 tsp cloves
Combine chopped apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cloves. Cook over medium heat until the apples are soft and the mixture thickens.
Use a potato masher or a spoon to mash the apples to your desired consistency. You can leave it chunky or mash it smooth.
While the jam is cooking, sterilise jars and lids in boiling water.
Transfer the hot jam to the sterilised jars, leaving a small space at the top.
Seal the jars tightly and let them cool completely. Store the jars in a cool, dark place.
