Ingredients

1 cup of butter 1 cup of vegetable oil 1 cup of white sugar 1 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 cup crushed cornflakes 1 cup of chopped nuts 1 cup quick-cooking oatmeal 4 cups of flour 1 tablespoon baking soda 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 325°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Using a stand or hand mixer, cream the butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and egg. Once the mixture is creamy, add the oil and beat for another minute.

Step 3

To the butter mixture, add the flour, baking soda, salt, nuts, oats, and cornflakes. Mix until a stiff cookie dough forms.

Step 4

Roll the cookie dough into walnut-shaped balls and place them about 2 inches apart on a prepared cookie sheet.

Gently flatten the cookies using a fork soaked in water.

Bake them for 10 to 12 minutes in a preheated oven.
