Prawn curry is a delicious and flavourful dish that is made with the most basic ingredients that most of us have in the pantry. This Kerala-style curry with coconut milk pairs well with steamed rice and parotta.
8-10 prawns 2 tablespoons diced onion 2 tablespoons diced tomatoes 1 tablespoon of ginger and garlic paste 2 green chillies 1/2 teaspoon turmeric 1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder Salt as per your taste 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 cup of coconut milk
Clean and devein prawns. Chop the onion, tomato, ginger, and garlic finely.
Heat oil and sauté chopped onion, ginger, garlic, and green chilli until golden brown.
Add turmeric, chilli powder, and coriander powder. Cook until the spices are fragrant.
Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
Add the prawns and cook until they turn pink and opaque.
Pour in coconut milk and simmer for a few minutes until flavours meld.
Add curry leaves for aroma and serve hot with rice or bread.
