Amritsari Paneer Pakoda: A Perfect Evening Snack

Ingredients

500 gm paneer 2 tbsp rice flour 2 tbsp gram flour 1 tsp dried mango powder or aamchur ½ tsp turmeric powder 2 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder 4 tsp ginger garlic paste ½ tsp coriander powder ½ tsp ajwain 1 cup lemon juice Salt to taste 1 cup water  

Step 1

First slice the paneer. In a bowl, add 2 tsp lemon juice,½ tsp Kashmiri red chili powder, ½ tsp ginger garlic paste and some salt. Mix.

Step 2

Wrap the paneer slices into the mixture and let them stay like that for some time. 

Step 3

In a bowl, add besan and rice flour. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, ajwain, red chili powder, amchur and salt to taste. Mix well. 

Step 4

Add water and form a desired consistency. Then, take the marinated paneer and roll them into the besan and rice flour mix. 

Step 5

Heat oil and fry the marinated paneer slices. When done, take them out and sprinkle some chaat masala and serve!
