As winter approaches, it’s time to embrace amla, the Indian gooseberry, known for its immunity-boosting properties. Amla murabba is a delicious and healthy way to incorporate this superfood into your diet.
1 kg amla 1.5 kg sugar 1 litre water 5-6 cardamom pods A pinch of saffron
Boil amla in water for 5-7 minutes and drain. Prick each amla with a fork.
Dissolve sugar in water over medium heat and bring to a boil. Add amla to the syrup and cook on low heat for 30-40 minutes until soft.
Stir in cardamom and saffron for added flavour. Let the mixture cool before storing it in an airtight jar.
