Made with flaxseeds and dry fruits, these Alsi Laddoos are nutrient-dense and delicious too. Here is the recipe you need to whip these Alsi Laddoos up at home today.

2 cups flaxseeds 2 cups wheat flour 1.5 cups ghee 1 cup jaggery 1.5 cups water 2 tsp cardamom powder ½ cup gond ¼ cup cashews, chopped ¼ cup almonds, chopped 1 tbsp pitachios, chopped 1 tbsp raisins, chopped

Dry roast the flaxseeds in a hot pan, cool them down a bit then grind into a coarse powder.

Heat ½ cup ghee in a pan and add the gond. Fry until brown, let it cool down, then grind into a fine powder.

Heat ½ cup of ghee and roast the wheat flour in it until it turns brown and fragrant. Set aside in a large bowl.

In the remaining ghee, roast the flaxseed powder until it turns brown and fragrant.

Place the jaggery and water in a pot and cook until a syrup is formed with string consistency.

Switch off the flame, then add the wheat flour, flaxseeds, chopped nuts, gond powder, cardamom and mix well.

Let the mixture cool down a bit. Take out small, equal-sized portions and roll them into laddoos.

Store the Alsi Laddoos in an airtight container once completely cool.
