The Varanasi aloo tamatar chaat is a well-known street food dish from the Indian city of Varanasi. Boiling potatoes, tomatoes, and a variety of spices and chutneys are used to make this delectable chaat.
4 boiled potatoes, chopped into small cubes 2 ripe tomatoes, chopped into small pieces 1/2 cup chopped onions 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves 2 tbsp tamarind chutney 2 tbsp green chutney 1 tsp red chili powder 1 tsp roasted cumin powder 1/2 tsp chaat masala Salt to taste Sev for garnishing Oil for frying
In a mixing bowl, add the chopped potatoes, tomatoes, and onions. Add in the tamarind chutney and green chutney
Add red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, and salt to the bowl. Mix well.
Now Heat oil in a pan, add a small portion of the potato mixture and fry until crispy and golden brown.
Drain the fried potato mixture on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Now take a bowl and add potato mixture.
Top the potato mixture with the chopped coriander leaves and sev. Enjoy!
