Aloo Bukhara Kasundi: A Taste Of Plums On Toast

Plums are back in season, and this is the perfect time to make this easy and spicy Aloo Bukhara Kasundi. Put it on your toast or pair it with any other dish, but do try this easy recipe.

Ingredients:

1kg plums, chopped ½ cup vegetable oil 2 tbsp mustard seeds 2 tbsp cumin seeds 3 tbsp ginger, grated 2 tbsp turmeric powder 2 tbsp red chilli powder 1 cup malt vinegar 2 tbsp salt

Step 1

Heat oil in a large pot then add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.

Step 2

Add in the remaining ingredients one by one and mix well.

Step 3

Cover the pot and let it simmer for an hour or so. Stir occasionally to check the consistency.

Step 4

Once the Aloo Bukhara Kasundi is thick and cooked, let it cool down completely.

Transfer into sterilised jars and refrigerate. Enjoy whenever you feel like with toast, bread, and even parathas.
