Also known as flattened or beaten rice, poha is a popular breakfast in many parts of the country. Not just kanda poha, you can make much more at home.
The classic breakfast of North India, parathas are stuffed Indian flatbreads served for breakfast. Stuff them a rice mixture of onions, potatoes, curry leaves and more and enjoy.
Soft, steamed rice cakes are South Indian staples that have become popular in other parts too. Mix the batter with rice flakes and urad dal. Pair with coconut chutney.
All you need are some boiled potatoes, onions and rice flakes. Mash it all together and shape into roundels with the palm. Shallow fry and serve hot and crisp.
This Gujarati snack is usually made with rice flour and paired with sesame and groundnut oil. Instead, use poha and steam it hot. .
Crispy Indian fritters are commonly dipped in gram flour but this pakoda has poha and cornflour in it. Make onion, potato and whichever pakodas you like this way.
