Babur

Babur was fascinated with a plethora of spices available in India. He loved eating fish.

Humayun

Brought Persian influences in Delhi's cuisine, Humayun loved eating Khichdi. His wife Hamida introduced use of saffron and dry fruits in royal kitchen.

Akbar

Mughlai cuisine evolved during Akbar's rule. Murgh Musallam, Navratan Korma and Panchmel Dal were his favourites.

Jahangir

Jahangir was fond of eating as well as drinking. His wife Noor Jahan is believed to have created own blend of wines and colourful dishes.

Shah Jahan

Shah Jahan loved fresh fruits and veggies especially mangoes. Famous Nihari is believed to have originated in his regime.

Aurangzeb

Aurangzeb mostly followed a vegetarian diet. He loved Panchmel Dal and Qubooli, made up of rice, Bengal grams and dry fruits.

Bahadur Shah Zafar

Bahadur Shah Zafar loved deer meat. For something light, he loved having moong ki dal while sohan halwa was also his favourite.
