Air Fried Sweet Potato Chips: A Fibre-Rich Healthy Snack Option

Reaching out for a packet of potato chips when you’re hungry is one of the few luxuries that cannot be indulged in, quite often. However, when the craving for something crunchy and seasoned strikes, make these delicious sweet potato ones that offer the same satisfaction.

INGREDIENTS

2 sweet potatoes, peeled 3-4 teaspoons olive oil 1 tablespoon arrowroot powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1 teaspoon black pepper powder 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 pinch pink salt Salt, to taste

STEP 1

Using a vegetable slicer, slice the sweet potatoes into thin roundels or strips and place on a clean cloth.

STEP 2

Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl and brush over the slices before placing them in a pre-heated air fryer, after spraying some oil inside.

STEP 3

Fry the chips in batches at 190°C for 6-8 minutes, tossing halfway so it crisps on all sides.

STEP 4

Cool and store in an air-tight jar for up to 1 week.
