Make this healthy Korean Fried Chicken recipe using an air fryer for a sweet-tangy accompaniment to your bowl of rice for lunch.
250 grams chicken, cubed ¼ cup corn flour ¼ cup rice flour 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1 teaspoon black pepper powder ¼ cup gochujang 3 tablespoons brown sugar 1 tablespoon vinegar 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1.5 tablespoons ketchup 2 tablespoons minced ginger-garlic 2 teaspoons vegetable oil Salt, to taste
Season the chicken cubes with salt and pepper and set aside.
Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl and allow to sit.
Mix all the sauces together in a bowl while you heat the vegetable oil in a pan.
Preheat the air fryer to 195 degrees Celsius and spray some oil.
Toss the chicken cubes in the dry mixture and spray some more oil before placing in the fryer for 7-10 minutes.
Add the ginger-garlic mince to the hot oil and sauté until aromatic.
Pour in the sauce mixture and let it bubble for a couple of minutes.
Once the chicken is cooked, toss in the sauce and serve with warm rice.
