As you are gearing up to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi on September 7, 2024, you must be worrying about the bhog you should offer to Bappa. Here is the recipe for Andhra-style undrallu.

Ingredients

2 tbsp chana dal 1 cup rice flour/ rava/ rice ½ tsp cumin seeds 2-2.5 cup water 1 tsp ghee ½ cup fresh coconut Salt to taste

Step 1

Rinse and soak rice. Dry it out and turn it into a fine powder.

Step 2

Soak chana dal for 10 minutes and roast in a hot pan with ghee and cumin seeds.

Step 3

Add water and salt. Bring this concoction to a boil and add rice flour or rava.

Step 4

Cover the pan and allow the ingredients to absorb water. Switch off the flame. Mix coconut.

Step 5

Let the mixture cool off and transfer to a wide plate. Grease your palms and make small spheres with it.

Step 6

Steam these balls like idli. Once done, offer these delights to Lord Ganesha.
