Add A Healthy Twist To Paratha Using Sweet Potatoes

Aloo paratha is among the favourite dishes of North Indians, irrespective of the weather. However, it contains many calories. To make it healthy, replace potatoes with sweet potatoes.

Ingredients

2 boiled sweet potatoes 1 tsp oil ¼ tsp pepper 1 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp chopped green chillies 2 tbsp coriander leaves Salt to taste ½ tsp garam masala ½ tsp chaat masala 1 tbsp lemon juice 2 tbsp butter 1 cup flour Water as needed

Step 1

Knead a soft and slightly sticky dough of wheat flour using water.

Step 2

Combine boiled sweet potatoes with all the spices.

Step 3

Taste the mixture and adjust the spices. You can also add chopped onions to the mix.

Step 4

Take a small sphere of the dough, roll it, stuff it with the mixture, seal it, and roll it again.

Step 5

Roast the paratha on a hot tawa. Use either butter or ghee to roast it.

Step 6

Enjoy sweet potato paratha with chutney and raita.
