Walnut bread is a delicious baked good that is loaded with the goodness and flavour of walnuts. The bread can be paired with a cup of coffee, tea, jam, or can also be enjoyed on its own while being fairly straightforward to prepare at home. Here's a recipe for you to try:
3 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 cup sugar 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 cups buttermilk 1/4 cup melted butter 1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
Blend together melted butter and buttermilk. Add chopped walnuts and fold.
Fill a loaf pan with oil and pour in the batter.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. Chill before slicing.
