Actor Shahid Kapoor is one of the biggest fitness icons of the country. But how does he manage his fab body with an all-vegetarian diet? Let’s find out.
Before he became an actor, Shahid was a dancer. He’d dance 10-12 hours a day and still loves to dance whenever he can, it helps keep him energetic and toned.
Shahid Kapoor became vegetarian after reading the book ‘Life Is Fair’. His everyday meals are very basic comprising two sabzi, one dal, paneer, salad, brown rice and curd.
His protein intake is mostly dependent on tofu, paneer and protein supplements. The actor does not like mushroom.
Shahid refrains from sugary treats, despite having a sweet tooth. He eats a lot of fruits for natural sugar.
The actor does not eat late at night because he also follows Ayurveda, and eating late in the night is said to upset digestion.
Though the actor tries to avoid carbs, but because he does a lot of functional training. Brown rice, sweet potatoes, oats and chapati are regular feature for balance.
The actor loves coffee, he likes his coffee dark and strong. He likes to have his coffee before he works out for the caffeine kick.
