Namak Mirch ka Paratha is a delightful and flavourful Indian flatbread that combines the simplicity of basic ingredients with the rich taste of spices.
1 small pumpkin Olive oil Salt and pepper to taste 1 cup breadcrumbs 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 2 large eggs Ketchup or your favourite dipping sauce
Ghee (clarified butter) Cumin (jeera) Dried mint (pudina) Kashmiri chilli powder Salt
In a large bowl, mix 2 cups wheat flour, ½ tsp salt, and 2 tbsp oil well. Add water as required and knead to a smooth, soft dough.
Knead for 5 minutes and let the dough rest. Pinch a ball-sized dough portion and dust with wheat flour.
Roll the dough to medium thickness. Sprinkle ghee, cumin, dried mint, chilli powder, and salt.
Fold the dough in half, spreading the leftover spices with your fingers. Dust with wheat flour and roll gently.
Place the rolled paratha on a hot tawa and cook for a minute. Spread oil or ghee and press slightly on both sides.
Flip again once or twice until both sides are cooked properly.
