½ onion, sliced 1 tablespoon butter 1 pinch sugar 1 pinch salt 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Slice the onion and heat the butter in a thick-bottomed pan.
Stir fry the onions for 2 minutes.
Add the salt, sugar and balsamic vinegar and stir to coat.
Reduce the heat and cook on low for 7-8 minutes more.
