Jolbhora Sandesh

This sweet is made from homemade paneer, sugar and jaggery. As it is filled with liquid jaggery, the name defines itself, Jol (Water) Bhora (Filled).

Lyangcha

It is made from flour and milk powder by frying it and dipping it into sugar syrup for a long time. The Government of West Bengal has begun the process of registering Geographical indication (GI) for Lyangcha.

Ledikeni / Lady Kenny

Named after Lady Canning, the wife of Charles Canning, the Governor General of India during 1856–62, it is a light fried reddish-brown sweet ball made of Chhena and flour, soaked in sugar syrup.

Labong Latika

Beautiful pocket shaped dessert, it is made with whole wheat crust filled with the mixture of khoya/mawa and dry fruits. It got its name due to clove (labongo) that binds the folds of the sweet which gives a very refreshing taste.

Sitabhog

Sitabhog is a flavourful dessert that looks like white rice or vermicelli mixed with small pieces of Gulab jamun. Made from cottage cheese, rice flour and sugar, Sitabhog often gives the appearance of pulao, but sweeter.
