8 Vegetarian Snacks  For A Rainy Evening

The cooling rain is finally bringing some relief. And come monsoons from deep-fried pakoras and kachoris to roasted bhutta, paired  with hot masala chai, makes for some great evening snacks.

 

Aloo Chaat

This Dilli-special aloo chaat is a  heaven for potato lovers.  Made with tantalising hot  potatoes slathered over with  spicy masalas,  it’s delicious.  

Pyaz Pakora

These deep fried, mildly-spiced  onion fritters, topped with some masalas and paired  with zingy mint chutney  is absolute delight

Murukku

The South Indian favourite,  Murukku; the coiled snack, is  super easy  to make at home, and would  go perfectly well for  your rainy-day binge.  

Samosa

The eternal love Samosas can  always be experimented  with the fillings from keema  to moong dal and more,  but don’t miss the sweet and  spicy chutney.  

Corn Chaat

This corn bhel recipe has the  right mix of tangy and spicy  mix for a rainy evening.  You can also throw  in some sprouts, tomato  and onion too and make it more nutritious.   

Batata Vada

Made with potato, this Mumbai  staple is a delicious balance of spicy and tasty. You can serve  it hot with tomato sauce  or green chutney along with tea.  

Palak Patta Chaat  

This scrumptious yoghurt-based  chaat made with deep-fried  spinach and tossed with some chutneys and chaat masala’s  and sev and pomegranate  makes for a great snack. 

Mochar Chop

This banana flower croquettes  this made with mix of boiled  potato, roasted peanuts,  grated coconut,  raisin and more makes  for a unique monsoon snack
