Apart from pumpkins and tomatoes, try sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, and even fruits like apples and pears.
Roast or caramelise the basic ingredients, including garlic and onions, to make your soup richer and smokier.
Explore all spices and herbs you have access to, from cumin and fennel to coriander and dried rosemary.
Instead of adding water to your soup, add a broth base made of vegetables, meat or coconut milk for extra flavour.
Add fish, eggs, chicken or just paneer, tofu, nuts and seeds to your soups to make them more flavourful and heavy.
Don’t be in a hurry and let the soup simmer for a long duration. This will help develop the flavours of the soup.
