Gulab jamun may just be the heartiest of mithais! But why not experiment with it further? If you like gulab jamun and can't get enough of its juiciness and spongy texture, try out these delicious gulab jamun recipes at home

Make this gorgeous sundae by cutting a couple of gulab jamuns into halves or quarters. Place them at the bottom of a bowl or glass. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream over the gulab jamuns and drizzle with chocolate sauce or caramel

Blend a few gulab jamuns with milk and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Add a pinch of cardamom powder for an extra layer of flavour. Pour the milkshake into a glass and garnish with chopped nuts.

Make this layered delicacy which only needs a few ingredients. Cut gulab jamuns into bite-sized pieces. Layer them in a glass with whipped cream or custard and simply repeat the layers

The process of making this is quite similar to a trifle. Layer crushed gulab jamuns with layers of rabri in a glass. Repeat the layers and refrigerate before serving.

Swap ladyfingers with sliced gulab jamuns and layer them with mascarpone and coffee-soaked biscuits. Don't do more than three layers. Sprinkle a layer of cocoa powder on top
