Ladoos are popular in India for almost every festival. These seven types of laddus offer a variety of flavours and textures, making them a delightful addition to any Diwali celebration. Each one carries a unique taste and charm that reflects the richness of Indian sweets, perfect for sharing with family and friends during this festive season
Besan ladoo is a classic Indian sweet made from roasted gram flour (besan), ghee, and sugar. These ladoos are rich, nutty, and melt in your mouth, making them a Diwali favourite.
Rava ladoo, or suji ladoo, is made from semolina (rava), ghee, sugar, and grated coconut. These ladoos have a delightful crumbly texture and a sweet, nutty flavour and can be garnished with nuts.
Coconut ladoos are a popular sweet made from grated fresh coconut, condensed milk, and cardamom. These ladoos are soft, sweet, and packed with the rich flavour of coconut.
Motichoor ladoo is made from tiny boondi (fried chickpea flour balls) soaked in sugar syrup and then shaped into ladoos. The boondi is typically made using a special ladle with holes to create small droplets.
Peanut ladoos are a nutritious option made from roasted peanuts, jaggery, and a hint of cardamom. These ladoos are crunchy, sweet, and packed with protein, making them a popular choice during festivals.
This is a luxurious sweet made with a combination of finely ground pistachios, almonds, and flavoured with saffron (kesar). The nuts are roasted, ground into a paste, and mixed with sugar and ghee.
