In summer, one of the kitchen tasks is to prevent the milk from getting spoiled. Heat and humidity decrease the shelf life and the beverage starts to go bad. Here are a few tips to help you keep the milk fresh and suitable for drinking for a long time.
Milk should be stored at 4°C or below in the refrigerator. You must also avoid storing it on the door because temperature fluctuation can make it go bad quickly.
In summer, you must not expose milk to sunlight at any time of the day. It can quickly spoil the milk because of heat and light.
You must store milk in an airtight container or keep it covered in the refrigerator. It will prevent it from being exposed to odour and contaminated air
Your refrigerator should be spotless and odourless. If there is a foul smell or food particles stuck to the surface, milk will go bad even if you maintain the temperature.
When handling the milk, you must keep your hands clean and use clean and dry utensils only. If you store the milk in an unclean jar, it will get spoiled.
Once you bring home the milk, keep it in the refrigerator immediately. You can also boil it, let it cool, and refrigerate it.
Keep milk and smelling foods like garlic, fish, and onion on different shelves. Milk can absorb the smell, and its quality will deteriorate.
