Plastic food storage boxes are great for keeping food fresh, but they can be a pain to clean, especially if they have tough stains from sauce, haldi or leftover food.  Here are some tips to get them shining like new again.

Hot Water And Soap

Fill the plastic container with hot water and add a few drops of dish soap. Let it soak for a few minutes, then use a scrub brush or sponge to clean the stains. Rinse with hot water and repeat if necessary.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is an effective natural cleaner that can help remove stains. Mix baking soda with water to form a paste and apply it to the stained area. Let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub with a sponge or brush.

Vinegar

Vinegar is another natural cleaner that can help remove stains from plastic containers. Mix equal parts vinegar and water and soak the container for a few minutes. Scrub with a sponge or brush and rinse with water.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is a natural bleaching agent that can help remove stains from plastic containers. Squeeze lemon juice onto the stained area and let it sit for a few minutes. Scrub with a sponge or brush and rinse with water.

Salt

Avoid Abrasives

Avoid using abrasive cleaners like steel wool or abrasive sponges as they can scratch and damage plastic containers. Opt for a soft sponge or brush instead.

Rubbing Alcohol
