7 Summer Salad Recipes That You Must Add To Your Diet

With the various state governments in India issuing guidelines to tackle heatwaves, it’s time to learn a few summer salad recipes that will offer respite from the scorching heat. A bowl of hydrating ingredients is all your body needs to replenish lost water content and satiate your hunger. Here are a few recipes to try out.

Grilled Peach Salad

Caramelised peaches and char the edges. Arrange the delicious fruit slices in a salad bowl and top them with fresh greens, toasted almonds, honey-balsamic vinaigrette, and goat cheese.

Greek Salad

Prepare lemon-oregano vinaigrette dressing and pour its own tomatoes, red onions, chopped cucumbers, feta cheese, and olives tossed together. Serve on a bed of lettuce.

Asian Noodle Salad

Cook noodles and toss them with sliced cucumber, green onions, shredded carrots, sliced red peppers, and edamame. Pour ginger-sesame dressing and sprinkle sesame seeds.

Quinoa Salad

Make quinoa salad by mixing it with diced mango, pineapple, onion, red bell peppers, and freshly chopped coriander leaves. Coat with a dressing of coconut milk and lemon juice.

Cucumber Avocado Salad

In a bowl, toss around diced avocados, cucumbers, onions, and cherry tomatoes. Prepare lime vinaigrette dressing with olive oil, coriander leaves, garlic and lemon juice and pour it over.

Watermelon Feta Salad

Toss around crumbled feta cheese, cubed watermelon, fresh mint leaves, and sliced red onions in a bowl. Top it with balsamic glaze and black pepper powder to complete the dish.

Mango Salad

Dice mangoes and mix them with boiled black beans. Top the mixture with sliced onions, chopped coriander leaves, and diced bell peppers. Pour lime-cumin vinaigrette on the top.
