Follow these easy summer eating and diet tips that can help you stay hale and hearty during the season, while enjoying your favourite foods and beverages.
Eat everything you love, but in limited amounts while ensuring that the healthiest fruits, veggies and grains find their place on your plate.
Avoid dehydrating foods like fried snacks, deep-fried dishes, rich curries, heavily spiced food and red meat.
Eat more lean proteins like chicken, fish, eggs, paneer, yoghurt, whole grains, lentils and dry fruits.
Opt for healthy salt sources like fruits and veggies instead of artificially salted junk foods that can harm your health.
Drink plenty of water and eat loads of watery fruits, veggies and yoghurt- or water-based beverages.
Avoid concentrated sugars, syrups and pre-packaged fruit juices that are more dehydrating than replenishing.
Consume locally sourced healthy veggies, fruits, grains and other products that are traditionally consumed during Indian summers.
